The first of the new colors presented to the battalion this weekend is the original battle flag of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Notice the pine tree in the upper corner of the flag. This flag is a copy of the oldest known colonial battle colors.

New for this season, the battalion has received new colors and a small ceremony was held to retire the old colors. Rum and pay was promised to the men. Huzzah!
We’re very excited about our first public re-enacting event of the season, Feast of the Ste Claire, at Pine Grove Park in Port Huron. We’ll be there from Friday through Sunday, May 28-30. Come out and say “Hi!”
Here is a picture of our Booth from the Kalamazoo Living History show. We can still be seen tomorrow from 9am to 4pm.
